Kelly N.'s Story

Life I think people would still recognize me, I haven't change (look-wise) very much - a bit thinner, long white hair and a bit more age in my face. I certainly have not wasted a minute of life nor possibilities of adventures and learning! I'm still incredible curious and adventurous - still pretty much a loner. I have lived in London, Zurich, Germany and 6 states in the U.S. I have a beautiful daughter, Roxi 18yrs, (Roxanna, Maria, Antonina, Caterina, Robertina, Lewis-Pope - poor kid! But she will never be lonely! lol) . I've my Rhodisian Ridgeback, Sunni (sounds like sunny). he may be 10 years old, but still acts like a one year old puppy! He is just wonderful! Now I have a 'lady' cat, she is called "X" and she is very polite, but tends to love to knock things off tables and then just walks away - other then that she is just wonderful, 1 - 1/2 yrs I live in a small, very small village in the Pocono mountains, but as beautiful as it is here, I still miss my Zurich, my lake and my Alps - nothing compares!!! I still haven't finished traveling the world or meeting exciting, intelligent and wonderful new friends. I am sure, I still haven't settled down yet - don't know if I ever will. I've seen 11% of the world - WOW! More to go! My heart is first with Roxi and then drawing/sketching, writing, refinishing furniture, gardening, entertaining, being entertained, lol. I love the idea of meeting old school mates and exchanging life stories and if possible reuniting as adult friends. There are so many people from my youth that made such a profound and exciting impression on me. I have married and divorce three highly intelligent and creative men -3 wedding parties and 3 divorce parties. - It's taken me a lot of time, to realize that I'm not the marrying kind - very loyal, but it too restrictive. I'm loyal to a fault, but hate to have my wings clips! At this time in my life, I much prefer to be in a 'companionship'. At 19 years old, I started studying classical ballet, studied to be a ballet teacher and was in the non-professional Hartford Ballet Company - all in two years! At 27, I decided I had to see some of the places I had read about - so off to Europe I went! I lived in Zurich, Switzerland, made life-long friends, learned many languages and traveled all around. Best therapy in my life - the happiest time in my life (other then having my daughter). Around my 32nd year, I began studying open-wheeled racing. I have 3 second place trophies for formula 3000 races I drove I had great indy/nascar and formula one teachers! I spent many, many years in publishing - in all areas and did some time in advertising (boring!). I have been very rich and I have been very poor, but always I have been 'me'! I can make money, but money cannot make 'me'! I had my 35 b'day in Moscow, lived in Zurich, spent a month in New Zealand with my racing team. I think I am close to my 43rd address by now 7 states, 4 countries, speak 4 languages and understand even more. I can still be shy, but fearless at the possibilities of new adventures. I have met some very incredibly exciting and wonderful people, who have blessed me with...Expand for more
new insights and understandings. As I have grown, my (terrible) temper is now quieted. I am just as passionate in spirit and curiosity as I was back at Lawrence Academy! I still buck and bite at the 'rules', insisting on living true to my heart. I don't think I have become 'boring' yet - never want to go there! I am much more 'gentle' inside these days, preferring simplicity to kaos and too much drama. Health is not greatest recent years - perhaps pushing my energy and body too hard, but I'm not down for the count! Anorexia for 30 years I would love to hear from any of my school-mates and share our stories. I think schoolmates would be very surprised to learn there was/is a lot more to me then what they saw and perceived about me in school. Back then, I was very scared to show myself, very intimated by the idea that my mates seemed to be so much more put together and smarter then me - so I hide behind a silly facade. MOST of my teachers had something special in their character, that inspired me in so many positive ways, but Dick Jeffers was/is my rock! INSTEAD of being a 2 year senior I would have been a 4 yr Sr. SPENDING my 18th birthday in the Bahamas during Winterium, while learning to sail ...lol,! THE happiest moments were spent walking through the forests, asking questions and getting answers, living/learning about life with the few special friends - and a whole lot more.... I always wanted to be a ballerina when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were totally wrong, I loved ballet until I hurt myself and had to stop. As a teen - screaming and hitting - as an adult, I sketch or garen If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have an electric heater, coffee cup, and a great boss to be able to deal with the day-to-day. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is doug grover, because because he was such a sweet fiend. Having OCD pretty bad, my list would be very long, lol If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to family, then spend the rest on saving, investing and find the place I really want to live. Only in L.A. - probably wasn't the best of roommates, as Abby Phinney, lol My current age is 52. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be more together. I was so completely wrong, lol. I'm not working presently, but I truly wanted to make a 'family' since I didn't have a great one. I wanted to dand and study art and work in art My best friend would tell you I'm gentle and funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as weird because I didn't fit any of the molds. I dress less fancy and sexy, now I dress comfortable 3 second place tropies for second place auto racing, bowling trophies and swimming ribbons In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by one day at a time. we met in the 7th grade and she taught how to be a hippie! My first job was at hospice, where I got paid zero to talk and visit with the elderly. What I remember most about it is why some people disappeared without saysing good bye - I was 10. The moment my family left me at L.A. and I was for the first time alone
